I actually took a hint from my friend Jeannette in England and dug back into my Alaska cruise pictures for this one. It really touched me that day, as we pulled away from their beautiful new dock in Hoonah...the remains of a very old dock...with moss and the beautiful Alaska state flower, fireweed, thriving out at the end of the old rotten timbers.
