The "S" Word Has Hit My Neighborhood

Well, the weather people were right..it's snowing and 34 degrees, here where I live in western Washington. I took the two pictures this morning about 5am, so it's still dark out there.  I just opened my front door and shot them.  It's weird to see snow on my porch as it's usually covered and it's normally spared from snow. It's really coming down and supposed to continue this morning.  Then the temps are supposed to drop, so the ride home later this afternoon should be interesting.

I'm off to get ready for work...I'm going to try and leave earlier this morning.  I'm still trying to figure out the best route to take ...so many hills between here and the office.

Until next time...........Linda

  2. Well, I must admit I would rather have some snow than this dark gloomy wet weather and high winds.

  6. You are lucky,  it is snowing in our mountains, but I have too much to do around here with dealing with my Mother's finances and servicing my wife's car.  Maybe next time.

  9. Hope you made it to work without too much slipping and sliding.  It has been almost 35 years since I have had to drive in snow but I can still remember it like it was yesterday and I do not envy you at all.  Don't you think it is harder to drive in when it is dark?  Hope you get off of work and home before dark.  Stay safe and warm.  Nancy

  11. We got snow here in WV too, just an inch. I'm trying not to whine, but after a couple of weeks of temps in the 60's for the it to suddenly drop back down to the 30's and snow on top of it - bah!
