Two Cars Buried

They opened Interstate 90 at 11am Wednesday morning and about 3pm another avalanche came down and temporarily buried two cars.  According to the news reports the people in those cars were rescued.  The pass has now been closed again and they say it will not open until at least Thursday morning.  Oh what a night mare for those who have to travel that route and also for the State Patrol people up in that area and the Department of Transportation workers.

Latest from KOMO TV in Seattle; http://www.komotv.com/news/14904061.html

Tonight the temperatures are up a little, about 37 degrees with heavy rain and lots of wind. Oh I hope I can remember these days when we are sweltering in the heat of summer.

  1. so glad they got the people out of the buried cars safe and sound; how dangerous!!

When I lived in Montana, I used to wish I could bottle a 100 degree weather day up and open it in the cold of winter.

  2. WOW rain on top of all that snow!! That will make for some crazy driving!  And I wonder how those people felt to be buried in snow?? Whew!!  I bet they were happy to get out of there.  And I thought our weather was bad here!  Stay safe over there.
