Weekend Assignment From John

Weekend Assignment: From John at; http://journals.aol.com/johnmscalzi/bytheway/entries/5919

Present three "facts" about yourself: Two of the facts true, and one of the facts false. Let people guess which "fact" is the fake one. Reveal the fake fact on Monday. You don't want to give away the fake fact too early, so be sure to make it sound plausible, next to the other two real facts.

Extra Credit: Can you lie with a straight face? Really?

1. I grew up on a small  farm and had to come home from school everyday and feed cows, chickens & pigs.

2. I had lunch with John Wayne when I was a teenager but I can't remember what we ate.

3. One of my biggest accomplishment's was to go scuba diving under the Tacoma Narrows Bridge here in Washington state.

Extra credit: I get a sick feeling in my stomach if I even think about lying, so I don't think I could do it with a straight face.

    I'm not sure, think I remember you saying you met John Wayne but don't know if you had lunch with him. I've never heard you say you scuba dive. OK I'll go with the scuba diving!! Probably wrong!! Jeannette xx

    I'll vote for #2, but only the lunch part.  I don't think you could tell an ENTIRE lie!

    You did a good, straight-forward job with this. I'm going with #3 because I remember the amount of crap I got into with the Shore Patrol when attempting to land a kayak at the Navy base near there...
