Movie Recommendation

I just watched one of the best movies !  The title is "Freedom Writers" and is based on true events of a young teacher who inspires her at-risk students.  Some of these kids were in horrible homes situations, some were in gangs and many had friends that had been killed on the street.

 I would recommend this movie to watch as a family for those of you who have teenage kids, as a glimpse into the lives of kids who succeed, even though they do live in desperate situations, because they have a teacher who cares and she instills in them a desire to step out of the trap they are in at home and in their neighborhoods.

The movie is Rated PG-13 and has a running time of 123 minutes. It was one I rented from Netflix.      Linda

    that was a great movie, Linda; I saw it about 6 months ago. That teacher was so devoted to her students; I felt bad though her husband couldn't catch her dream.

    It sounds really interesting Linda but I wonder if it will ever be released over here. If it is I`d like to see it.

    You are the 2nd person to recommend this movie ~ I am going to have to try and see it now.  It sounds like a movie I would really enjoy.

    Yes, I seen this movie and I agree it's two thumbs up!  It's an awesome movie and one you should watch with your teens too :)

    I've seen that movie -- it's excellent.  What a refreshing change from the usual violence and pyrotechnic special effects in so many new movies.

    I actually had this added to my NtFlix as well, but then my husband & I spotted it at the Library & rented it there instead. It is sitting beside me right now on my desk & I have yet to watch it. I've been so busy these past couple of days but it's my goal to watch it today. My sister M loved this movie as well. In fact she was the one that told me about it. So now I have two good reviews for this movie so I am looking forward to watching it. Thank you.
