The Magic hour, or Golden hour is the first  &  last hour of sunlight. 
It's the 1/2  hour before the sun rises, & 1/2 after the sun rises.  It's also the 1/2 hour before sunset & 1/2 hour after.

    Wow.  THIS is what I'm talking about!  I had to get my shades on for this one.  It totally blew out my chroma-reference-ocillator.
