Well, you're in luck. The city of Seattle is getting ready to remove their 5 fancy sidewalk toilets because they have become havens for "ladies of the evening" and drug users. They were a great idea for tourist use but the bad apples have ruined it for everybody. They are stainless steel looking and they self clean when you shut the door after use.
The toilets will be removed starting August 1st and be auctioned off on eBay...each toilet will have an auction starting price of $90,000. (that would be ninety thousand). So count your pennies and start watching eBay in August if your in the market for an outdoor toilet.
I will have to rush to Ebay for that..lol.... That is a shame that you cant even have outside convenient toilets for people because it is ruined by nastiness..hugs, Christine

Err, no thanks. I grew up with outside toilets and had more than enough of creeping outside in the dark to use one. Anyway, we could not afford it lol. What are the tourists going to do now. Guess they will have to cross their legs and pray. I did post yesterday but alerts are still all over the place. I have sent another complaining e-mail to the journals editor.

ReplyDeleteshame they had to ruin it. there are some of these style loo's in cornwall, they seem to do ok, mind you I don't think the "ladies" would get much business at one of their ones, they are in little beach coves!!! take care mrs t xx
