Robin Showed You Hers~Now I'll Show You Mine....

..........harvest that is.   With all our cool, damp weather....nothing is doing well except the rhubarb.

these were very teeny tiny starts when I first got them.

my tomatoes are really pathetic...not enough warm rays to make them grow, let alone turn red

But I do have flowers (can't eat flowers you say~no but they're good for the soul)

lavender

Fragrant Cloud

deep purple rhododendron

Calla Lily

several different flowers in this pot on the patio

geraniums & alyssum

So there you have it.  I may not get a bountiful harvest of bright red tomatoes like Robin down there in Florida but I got flowers !!

By the way....Happy First Day of Summer to everyone !  I hope we get some here in the Pacific Northwest however, it's up over 70* here at just after 12 noon today. But tomorrow it could be snowing........

  2. What lovely pictures!  I have not grown anything this year but like you, the weather has been pour so nothing would have done well.  You have made me fancy so Rhubard now, have not had it in years.  Yes, I agree on the flowers, they are so good for us.

  3. Our Garden is not doing to well either. We only have a couple tomatoes on our tomatoe plants, it has been to cold for the bees to be out and about much, at least I haven't seen them, several blooms on the tomatoes died with out being polinized so I hope it's the weather not the normal lack of bees. It is nice now so maybe we'll get something from the garden after all. I would love to have some rhubarb plants. Hope to find some next spring.
    Have a great week end.

  10. I just got out tomatoes in, so I do not have any growing yet. We have a very long growing season so I am thinking about planting some more stuff. However it has to be stuff that that does not require a lot of water because I do live in souther California and we don't have a lot of water! LOL

  12. 70 degrees sounds so GOOD!  It's been over 100 here for days.  Getting hotter before it gets cooler.  I'm not liking summer so far.

  13. Hard to believe that yesterday was the first day of summer wasn't it!  The seasons all seem to be a bit cocked up these days!  Lovely flowers Linda and I am hoping that you get some sunny and warm days soon so that your other plants can start to grow, thrive and ripen as well!

  16. Damn, every time there's an instance of "I'll show you mine," nobody calls me. Okay then, I guess I'll just put my trenchcoat away and wait.

  17. I love your flowers. My flowers grew pretty good too. Of course they are run over by weeds because I have been laid up the last few days. I dont think many people on the North east coast did well gardening either. My mom's tomatoes didnt come out very good. You did a very good job gardening. .....love, Christine
