Many of you recently have said you would like to write a book and have it published. If so, what would the subject matter be?
I actually have started writing a book of sorts for my grandchildren. I've titled it "The Story of Your Life" because obviously it's the story of their background. It's not that my life has been so unusual and I've really done nothing that wonderful (well, I met John Wayne when I was 13) but my life as a young person was so much different than their's is and I wanted them to know about it. If I ever get it done...it will probably be very boring to them until they are adults. I was blessed to have a grandmother & for awhile a great grandfather living on the same property when I was Junior High age. I wish I would have asked them more questions. I have old pictures of my great grandfather as a young man, I have a picture of his parents...but I don't know if he had any siblings and I've done a lot of genealogy research and find no information of this. So, I'd like my grandkids to have as much family information as possible so that someday they don't have to wonder. If it was published..it would be strictly for my family because no one else would give a hoot.

What a great blessing that would be for your children to have something like that. I wish my grandparents would have left me something like that. I don't know if they have any brothers and sisters.
Yes, this is all the more reason for us to record our history for the generations who come after us.
How do you know others wouldn't be interested in your story, lol? Look what happened to Laura Ingalls Wilder!
