Baby Shower

I went to a baby shower today for my cousin's daughter.  It was in Seattle and I don't drive in Seattle and Bob wasn't around to drive me so I took the bus.  It was quite an adventure but at the same time worked out very well.  It cost me $3.00 each way, took about an hour each way  and I had no traffic or parking hassels.  The shower was fun and it was good to see these 2nd cousins of mine.  My cousin lives in Utah and had knee surgery recently so she couldn't be there... her three girls were thrilled that someone from the family was there.  The honored guest and her twin sister actually live in Wenatchee (eastern Washington) and the other sister lives in Carson City, Nevada but she, her husband and two children drove up so she could come today.  So the three of them drove over the mountain this morning,  I figured the least I could do is get myself there even if it was on the bus.  Janel knows she and her husband Matt are having a girl, the end of April and since her sisters each have 2 children, she is thrilled that they are finally going to have a little one.   The Raggedy Ann doll was hand made and sent by their Aunt Susie (also my cousin) who lives down in the Sacramento,California area.

I got to a certain point in Seattle and had to transfer to a bus going in another direction.  That second bus stopped right across the street from the Paramount Theater, where "Joseph and the Amazing Dream Coat" is playing.  I thought to myself, hmmmm, I could come to a matinee with hardly no fuss at all.  I have to check into that.

It's still somewhat cold here in the Pacific Northwest but the sun has been shinning today, so that's good.  In some areas up north east of Seattle they had snow this morning.....the first day of Spring is Monday, right?   That's what I thought.

Have a good rest of your weekend, until next time, Linda

Good for you for taking the bus! Sounds like a great adventure. My husband interviewed for a job in East Wenatchee a few years back; he said it was a nice area.

enjoy the rest of your weekend

Baby showers are so much fun!  You are so brave to take the bus!  I am scared to do it, even though I know it would totally open up my world!  We were a bit frosty the past two mornings, but no snow around my neighborhood!  Jae
