Last Saturday I reported on a shooting at a party at a Seattle home. Six people and the shooter died. Today the memorial services began for the victims. Police have still not determined a motive, the shooter, a 28 year old also killed himself. It's truly a sad event. The youngest victim was only 14 years old. What a waste of precious young lives.

As parents we always worry when our kids are out of our sight. But yet, becoming independent is a natural part of growing up. We can't keep them under our wing forever. I'm glad my kids are adults....even when they were teenagers...I worried but I don't think there was as much peer pressure to live on the "wild side" as there is today.
My thoughts and prayers go out to the families of all the young people who were involved in this tragedy last weekend.

So sad. I feel for the relatives. Terrible thing to have to come to terms with especially as a motive will never be known. Eve
This will have such a lasting impact for all involved, even the community. So sad
