Just dropping in to say hi. I slept in too long this morning (I guess that 3 or 4 hours of sleep Thursday night, during the storm, caught up with me) and I'm like 2 hours behind. I want to get to the grocery store and finish my Christmas meal shopping. I'm cooking my family dinner Friday (December 22nd) afternoon. And I have to work Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and surely the stores will be packed Thursday. If I can get it all done today then I can relax and wrap gifts in between working the rest of the week. Our weather has really calmed down...thousands are still without power and the clean up of branches, etc continues. At least the weather is cooperating this weekend. Bob and his son-in-law came by yesterday afternoon and removed the big piece of my former porch roof from the roof of my house. It's so huge and heavy I was amazed that it landed up there. It still even had it's gutter attached. Thankfully it didn't come thru any windows or hurt anyone in any way. Here's our mild forecast from KOMO TV, that I received earlier this morning. Happy Saturday, Linda

Happy Saturday! xox Barbara
Storms do seem very violent in the USA; I wonder how it must be to live with the fear of tornados and cyclones... Thank you Linda for your prayers and for making a detour to my page. I appreciated highly. You seem to be looking for some space in your schedule for a bit of rest time... it is necessary to recharge the batteries.

You must have needed the extra sleep Linda but I hope you manage to do what you have to do today. It`s such a rush everywhere at the moment, it makes me wonder where all the people come from...lol! :o)
Love Sandra xxxx
I am glad you got some extra sleep! You obviously needed it! I, for one, am happy the weather has calmed down.
I bought my cheap ham today...99 cents a pound. I am not doing the whole meal. Just ham and mashed potatoes, rolls and a salad. Taking it easy. Seems like the Thanksgiving feast I made was just a week ago! So much work! I have been meaning to say thank you for the Christmas Card! Jae
I'm glad it's calmed down for you now. I hope the shops won't be too vusy, ours have been almost empty this year! I need to get some cat food and litter in and I'm just about done for Christmas. I'm glad Bob came and helped you with that porch roof, they're so heavy, lucky it didn't fly off and hurt anyone. I hope the power is being restored to all those who lost it. Jeannette xx
