The pictures speak for themselves. It looks like temperatures will start dropping a little in the next few days. They are saying we could have thunder showers tonight....we'll see.

Ours was over 100 and I think I almost faded away. Poor Gabi she must be cold. I certainly hope they're right about it cooling down. Joni
Pleeease send a little of your heat over to England! Would you believe me if I said that I wore a SWEATER to work yesterday! A jacket too! I have never known a 'summer' as cold and miserable as this! I can sympathise with you though because I don't like extreme heat either! When we were at the Hoover Dam last year it was 119 degrees and I couldn't even get out of the car, it was stifling. The heat affects me more than the cold...oh well I guess I'm never satisfied, lol! I do hope it cools down for you all though. ~~~ Pat http://journals.aol.co.uk/pm71blackfen/ramblings-from-pat/edit
Your poor cat! All dressed up in that beautiful fur and no way to get away from the heat. Whewww..... It's been hot down here, too. Was nicer yesterday and today but it's going to start cranking back up into the triple digets again. Not good... not good at all. LOL Hugs, Kathy
Wow, that poor kitty! Poor you!!! I am not one that can stand heat, especially if it is accompanied with lots of humidity! Glad your temps will be dropping soon! As for us, they say that by the weekend we will be in the throes of a heat wave, probably accompanied with lots of humidity no doubt!!! Marie http://journals.aol.co.uk/mariealicejoan/MariesMuses/
You know, I was doing a darn good job at keeping the apartment cool, by chasing the sun, like you mentioned the other day. I was even surprised, because it is always hotter up here on the third floor. But, mid afternoon, I had to take the dog out to potty. OMG! It was SO hot out there! I think it was the first time ever that it was hotter outside than in my apartment. After that, I could not cool down. I tried sitting in front of the big fan, hogging all it had to offer, but I had invited my older two kids for dinner, and I had to get things done. I am not kidding; it was MISERABLE! Reminded me way to much of Arizona. At least there we had A/C!!! I had dogs passed out all over the living room. I filled two water bowls, and put ice cubes in it through out the day. Glad you two survived (but poor kitty). I'll take a thunder storm, no prob! J
HI LINDA! I WOULD LOVE TO COME PAINT YOUR HOUSE! HONESTLY...IT WOULD BE A VACATION..LOL. I TAKE ALEVE AND I USE A LIDOCAIN PATCH, NON-NARCOTIC, AND IT HELPS A LOT, BUT BENDING OVER ALL THE TIME AT WORK IRRITATES IT BAD! HOPE A COOL FRONT MOVES IN FOR YOU..HUGS GIRL..LORI
Makes no sense. We've had few days in the 90s here in WestTexas and today was 79 for a high. It will get hot here. Probably when the new grandbaby gets here. Awww poor Gabi. Hope she figures out the bathroom is cooler. Hugs, Barb
