Sad news on the 11 o'clock TV news tonight. The body of this dear little girl was found late this evening. The "person of interest" is still in custody, however they have not charged him as yet with the kidnapping and murder of Zina.
Her family came here from the Ukraine, I'm sure it was to find a new life and now this horrible thing has happened to their little daughter. It has been good to see how their surrounding neighborhood has been there for them, has been supportive and caring. Many of them have been out searching during our heat wave, hoping and praying they would find her alive. Even as the police department were having a meeting tonight with this neighborhood, updating them on the search....other officers found the body. It's so sad....how can people be so evil?

That is indeed very sad Linda, my heart goes out to the parents, family and friends, what an awful time for them all.
Rest in peace, little one. ~~~ Pat
Linda, my heart truly goes out to the family of this lovely little girl. How tragic that this happens. I truly do not understand why this happens and the minds of people that can do such things. Truly demonic. May she rest in peace and may her family find some comfort amidst all the tragedy. Very sad.

Enjoying all the little things in life
I just heard the man in custody is a registered sex offender. I think they said he is a level I offender. I am not sure, but don't they have to be a II or a III for community notification? If so, then those people in that neighborhood probably didn't even know he was there! Horrible news...J
Oh Linda how very sad ,the poor little girls family must be ..well I cant begin to imagine ,Idont know what to say .....oh my gosh! ..love Jan xx
Oh this news is so shocking. This person that has done this crime ought to be put in a cell with all the male or female members of Zenas family. I know 2 wrongs dont make it right. But my god people need to see Punishment to fit the crime, Not a fancy Jail cell with colour tvs While tax payers pick up the bill to keep these monsters locked up.
love and hugs

It is very sad, but when you turn the news on it's everywhere. People are so sick these days to prey on small children it scares me to death.
Take care, Chrissie
So sad, we hear of this often!!! My prayers go out to the family.

Linda that is such sad news ~ my thoughts and prayers go out for her family ~ Ally
I am very sorry this story had a sad ending, Linda.
I know Linda, I've been very sad about this since I heard last night. Seems like we have way too many of these happening of late. My thoughts and prayers are with that poor family that has to deal with this for the rest of their lives. People just don't value human life the way they used to. Later, Joni
I just cant even think about this

That's such a sad ending Linda, her poor parents must be living through a nightmare. Jeannette xx
How very sad.... and I know you were hoping for a good outcome....
Hugs, Linda...
This is so sad. I don't know how anyone could do this to someone, especially a little child. I've always said that it's a good thing we don't understand such people because if we did, we would be just like them. People like that are their own subculture and don't think anything like mainstream society. My heart goes out to this family.

I so sad for this little girl and the family and for this nation that seems to be teeming with child killers. If they would start doing to these killers what they'd done to their victims, maybe the rate of child abduction, rapes & murders. I can't stand it.
Sorrowfully, Barb
Terrible. I had so hoped for a happy outcome
What a sad and tragic story. I cannot imagine how her family feels right now. I will never, ever understand what drives people to do the things they do. We had a farm hand working here and one day, out of the clear blue my mom told me to check the State website where sex offenders are listed. He was on the list, picture and all - charged with rape of a child (4 counts total). Needless to say he was out of here so fast his head spun around and my stepdad gave him a good warning on the way out. I will Pray her family finds the strength to endure this horrible tragedy.
