We had a great time at the bridge this morning. There were so many people, but the transit company did a fantastic job shuttling everyone back and forth. Everyone was having a great time and the weather was perfect for such an event, overcast with a nice breeze blowing. We only walked to mid-span because I actually got a shin-splint in my right leg. Oh my does it hurt. I think it happened walking down the hill from the bus to the bridge. Now that I'm home for a few minutes, I've taken some tylenol and had a full bottle of water (hydration seems to help) and it will be better soon. This afternoon when we go out to Bob's daughter's place, I'll just sit around and take it easy.
Anyway...it was a wonderful experience...my grandkids had a good time and they took lots of pictures, so I know they will remember it forever. I'm sorry the pictures are so dark, I should have checked the exposure on my camera. It was really overcast out there, good for us people but bad for pictures. Until next time....Linda

Thanks for sharing those pics of the new bridge AND yourself :-)
I thought the pictures turned out great, you always do a good job of getting a little bit of everything. Loved the ones of you and your grandkids, they do look like you. That was something really worth doing. Hope you have fun at the barbecue. Joni
I think the pictures are wonderful. You always explain everything so beautifully and have such nice pictures to go along to help ilustrate. I always feel as if I have been there right along with you!

Linda :)
I am amazed at how many people there were! It looks like a good time and you surely did get to see some colorful folks. You threw me off with the "honey buckets" but I realized after I saw the pictures what you were talking about. Hope the leg is feeling better soon!

Sounds like a really nice time and the traffic being handled so well really helps. Hugs,
