Jane Wyman passed away this afternoon. She was born January 4, 1914 in St Joseph, Missouri. I found one source that gave another birthdate & year but I like the January 4th one, because that's the same as mine.
Jane appeared in over 100 movies during her career, she won 9 Oscars and was nominated 11 times. I especially loved her in the movie "Pollyanna."
Before her movie career took off, she once worked as a switchboard operator (another thing Ms Wyman and I have in common.)
Of course we all know she was married to Ronald Reagan from 1940 thru 1948. They had two children.
My sympathy goes out to her family and friends...

My little stripped kitty. Actually she was laying in the sun coming thru the front window. The shadow of the mini-blinds makes her look like she has stripes.

I had lunch with 9 gals from my high school class today. We had a potluck lunch up at the club house where I live. We had a great time...the food was wonderful and we're going to do it again, by golly!
Until next time.......Linda

What did you take to the potluck?
Yeah it was fun. Joni
A fine actress, I never really warmed up to Ms. Wyman, still sorry to hear of her passing. As for "striped" kitty lol that's one of those "too adoreable" pix! Love it. Nice you got to see your HS friends again. You're brave! CATHY

How fun meeting up with the girls! J
I hadnt heard about Jane Wyman. I always loved her movies and when I was a girl she was one of my favourite actresses. I did love her show too, the Jane Wyman show. They sure don't make them like that anymore. You have a beautiful cat. Lovely picture and how wonderful that you still live close to and are in contact with your school chums! I bet the lunch was great fun!

Great picture of Gabi!! I hadn't heard of Jane's passing ~ she was indeed worth of her oscars. I had forgotten she was married to Ronald Reagan. May she rest in peace. Sounds like a blast with the girls!!!!

I heard the news this afternoon Linda. The first thing that crossed my mind was that she was Ronald Reagan`s first wife, but of course she was an actress in her own right first. My sympathies to her family.
Love Sandra xxxx
