Please stop by today and give best wishes to our friend Barbara in Texas as she starts a new job on Wednesday. She worked as a waitress when she started her journal and then moved to a grocery store. There she had horrible hours, duties and sometimes bad working conditions. At times she was scheduled to be at work at 0'dark thirty in the morning to stock candy and open the store.
Her new job will be in an insurance office, with regular hours and weekends off ! And she won't have to wear one of those stupid name badges !! What a deal !
Dear Barbara, I'm so happy for you....don't be nervous....be happy ! If I wasn't so far away, I'd be there with a marching band as you pulled into the parking lot tomorrow morning. Your old lady, journal buddy Linda

How nice for her, retail people would die for those hours. My good friend who hired me at the bookstore went on to be a dental hygenist after 25 years in retail and she has lovely hours, and all weekends and holidays off, she's only about 45. I love the people in retail but it sure has it's draw backs. I'll stop by her journal, Joni
Will do....thanks for sharing....June:)
(((((((((((((LINDA))))))))))))))Have a nice evening.
Congratulations to Barbara, I hope she'll be very happy in her new job. Jeannette xx

Linda!!!!! I just saw this! Now I have more time to catch up on my journals. You are the SWEETEST young lady ever to write this in my honor. Just wanted to let everyone know that I DO appreciate all of your friendships and love you muchly! My new job is going great! I have tons more energy and I actually get to cook breakfast instead of a fattening donut at a 15 minute break and chips in the car for lunch....I now get an hour. My new boss is hilarious. When the lunch hour comes he just grabs his stuff and you better be ready because he is out the door. Also at closing time it is time to go home. I just watch him close to the hour and start gathering my things. Thanks again Linda I love you! Barbara
Well done to your friend finally getting a job she likes ,and civilized hours too ,love Jan xx
