.....that Friday is the official first day of winter. Today has been beautiful here in my little corner of our big world. The sun has been shining all day, which is surprising because it absolutely poured rain all of yesterday and all night.
I worked outside for a little over an hour this afternoon. An edict has come from the park manager's office that we are to have nothing stored on our carports but our official trash cans and of course our cars. So I was out there cleaning up a little bit. I don't know what I'm going to do with my wood supply. I like it out there because it's under cover and dry...wet wood does not burn very well. I think I may move my park bench off the porch and into the storage shed for the winter and put the wood up there. But then, I suppose they'll be after me for having wood stored on my porch. I don't know what to do.
Little Peyton's grandma stopped by this afternoon and reports that Peyton is doing fine at home. She's up to 4 pounds 11 ounces now so continues to gain weight. She now weighs more than my Gabi.
Well, not much longer now until my family Christmas dinner. It's this coming Saturday. Friday, I'm going to be busy because several of the things I'm making have to be made "the night before." Which reminds me...I could boil the eggs today for the escalloped asparagus dish...that would be one less thing to do Friday. I wish someone out there would make a plate of deviled eggs for me. I love them and hate to make them.
Thanks to Sugar for my beautiful Washington state graphic. I love it. I'm right there, a little to the left, of the left top of the "W." Right there where Puget Sound winds it way down into the state from the Pacific Ocean.
Tonight is the last night of "The Clash of The Choirs." I'm anxious to see which choir wins. And I think popcorn is in order tonight while I watch the conclusion of this great 4 day program.
Until next time......Linda

That's a nice graphic Sugar made.
I'm watching Clash of the Choirs as I read journals. (reading during commercials)
We shall see who won for their hometown soon.

Cute Graphic Linda! I can well believe it is the first day of Winter here, as it is as cold as blazes!!! Well, for over here anyways! We had to drive home in an ice fog last night. Not very much fun to say the least! I'm still dreaming of a white Christmas over here, but I think it's supposed to rain. . . sigh

Goind to be a wet and windy Christmas for us. We have had such frosts recently that it looked like snow for much of the day. Pity that could not have stayed, it would have been more fitting. Glad Peyton is doing so well.

Ya know...I totally forgot about that show AGAIN! I was so busy with meets and such! If I were you I would try leaving the wood to see if they say anything. I mean if it's neatly piled I don't see what the big deal would be. What else are you suppose to do? It looks better in your carport then it would on a porch. Unless you get a tarp and store it in the back yard. Good luck with that! This is only one of the reasons we hated renting in the city! Even when we owned, there were certain "rules" everyone had to follow. Like you were not allowed to have a car up on jacks for more then 24 hours, no burn barrels, no garbage in yards...stuff like that.
I enjoy deviled eggs too but like you am not fond of making them. I don't understand why you wouldn't be allowed to store your wood in your carport ~ it doesn't sound like a safey hazard to anyone...except maybe you stubbing your toe on it or tripping. Dear little Peyton, oh my, to be so tiny in this big, big world. Bless her little heart. Enjoy your show this evening.
