I had a vision this afternoon as I was driving around running some errands. A vision of going over the Siskiyous in northern California, hopefully catching a view of the very beautiful Mt. Shasta and then eventually pulling into Redding, California.
Redding happens to be the most northern location in California one can get a tasty In-N-Out burger.
Sorry Robin, I had to mention it. But don't worry, I will have one in your honor ! Do you want a picture or not ? LOL

LOL! I was just thinking about In and Out TODAY! I saw on some news channel somone taking Britney Spears some food in her hospital and it was IN AND OUT! Hmmmmph! Take a pic for sure!!!
I have found something here I like as much as In and Out...it is called Shake and Steak or is it Steak and Shake? Not sure...have been there once and the burgers were to die for, the fries were real skinny and super yummy. I will have to take a pic of that place for you.

I guess I've never been to a good in & out. I've only been to two - one in LA and the other in SF and both were cold not good hamburgers. I seem to be the odd man out here.

I love finding all the good places to go...then when we are on vacation I know what to watch for :) Thanks for all the ideas!
Davis, CA is a greeeeaaaatttt place to visit; but do not expect any drive-up window (unless it changes since last year). Not even at a bank. The emissions spuddddeeee out of your exhaust while sitting in a drive-through line ... is harmful to the ozone layer ... so the law says. And you cannot smoke anywhere in that town except your own home or back yard (if you have a 10 board fence).
BUT ... I love that town. They kept some of the quaint downtown ... when the
UC of Davis started growing by leaps and bounds. And I still have family there. They moved; and I stayed in Cajun country ... but love to 'road trip' ... our oldest daughter. Heading out there in May for a wedding. ;*-}
