A good time was had by all at the birthday party this last Sunday. In just about two months we'll be back there for the 1st birthday party of Lance's little sister Marin Rose. He really got a lot of Spiderman stuff and he especially likes his Spiderman mask that was among the gifts from Bob.
I took the picture of the daffodils at the round-about on Easter Sunday and forgot to post it. It was tricky to maneuver thru a round-about and take a picture at the same time. LOL !! But it was so pretty, I couldn't resist. I haven't been back to that area since but I'm sure they have all faded away by now. I only have a few daffodils that are still blooming.
The weather continues to be blustery. Wind, rain, sun and cool temperatures. The TV weather guy is saying it will be down to 36* tonight. (Just like winter)
Once some $$ comes in the first of May I must get to the garden shop and buy some bedding plants. I want to get everything planted in the next three weeks in case I do have to have surgery on that wounded knee of mine. I see the orthopedic doctor two weeks from today. (Remind me to take the MRI films)
I saw regular unleaded gas for $3.75.9 a gallon at a Shell station nearby. But at other stations it's around $3.68.9 a gallon. Diesel is up over $4 a gallon. No wonder our food prices are going up~it's costing more to get the food to the market. My car gets between 25 & 27 miles per gallon but I'm still doing a lot less driving around for pleasure than I would if the gas prices were lower. I went out to the store yesterday and my car will probably sit in the carport until the weekend. But if you're out and around...feel free to drop by for a cup of coffee or tea.
Well, I have a little gray & white furry creature sitting here begging for food, so I guess I'd better go fix her some Fancy Feast before she bites my ankles. Until next time.............Linda

Gas is crazy expensive! I am in a carpool with another Mom and on the week I don't drive I really DON'T drive! I leave my big old gas guzzling truck parked as much as I can.

That coffee/tea invitation goes both ways Linda...lol. Glad he loved his spiderman stuff. Kids can be hard to buy for but it sounds like he makes it easy. The flowers are lovely too. Gas is just plain rediculous. Remember in the 60's when it was 30 cents a gal. Take me back...
Hugs, Joyce
So glad the party went good. It's too cold for me to even think about gardening, burrr.... Gas is terribly expensive but most the time I don't go farther than the workout club. I still think the gas burns faster when the price is high. Just me I guess. I will stop by if I'm up there. Joni
Lance looked so cute in his Spiderman mask; bet it was a big hit for him. I love his little sister's name; I have never seen Marin before as a name; very nice!
those daffodils reminded me of Montana; a very popular flower to grow there, it must be a sturdy one as lots of times they would bloom and then an unexpected snowstorm would come through but they would not die, they took a lickin and kept on tickin (sorry, couldn't resist)
we drove by a gas station today and medium grade was $4.17; premium $4.27. my husband said he's heard of people having to decide between gas to get to work or food to eat; that shouldn't be like that
I do hope you won't have to have surgery; I probably won't be on line at that time of your appt otherwise I would remind you to take your MRI films; just write big note on calendar

What a lovely picture of Bob and Lance! How precious! You should see the price of petrol over here Linda. Last time we filled up it was £108.9 pence a litre and that was a few days back. That was for regular unleaded, the diesel was about £115.9 a litre. That works out to about $8.71 and $9.27 a litre . It's disgraceful and Todd and I are now regetting booking a week at a cottage in Cumbria this summer as we now have to come up with the petrol moneyto get us up there and about while we are there!! A coach trip would have been cheaper!

Gabi bite your ankles?! Lol, she must be communicating with Nina and learning some bad habits! I'm so glad Lance liked his Spiderman mask and had a good time. Our gas prices are over twice as much as yours, I'm so glad I don't drive. Our buses and trains are very good over here, you can catch a bus to just about everywhere! I didn't know you had roundabouts over in Washington, I know a few were dotted around the States ~ we have them everywhere! Jeannette xx
Oh my, you can't keep Gabi waiting!!! Love the spiderman suit, how cute. I think at this point in time it would be cheaper for me to fly to visit you & have a cup of coffee than it would be to drive. Problem is, I won't fly :(
xx

I bet he's still wearing that spiderman mask, lol....
Gas is between 3.91 and 4.05 for regular, depending which gas station you choice to stop at...
