Wednesday Morning Pics

I wandered out to my mailbox to mail a letter this morning.  (Brrrrr it was so cold out there.)  But as I came down off the porch and walked towards the driveway, I stopped to admire my big pink rhododendron.  It's covered in blooms now and since I didn't prune it last Spring it's much taller than me. My other rhody is not even close to blooming and my white azalea will probably be blooming in another week or so.  After depositing the letter and putting up the little red flag, I came back in and got my camera.   Enjoy the pictures.......Linda

Your flowers looked beautiful, it is nice to see them starting to bloom.  I'll go out and take some pics when the sun comes out up here.  Joni

Your rhododendrons are gorgeous Linda. You must have acidic soil to grow them, we can't grow them in Brighton as we're on chalk and they'd die. I'm glad I'm not the only one who has freezing weather! It's been in the 40's all day with a gusty wind. Gabi seems to have the right idea ~ curl up on a blanket and stay warm! Jeannette xx

Your flowers are really beautiful  Linda.  The weather is funny everywhere one day really warm and the next very cool.  Hopefully, the weather will warm up permanently soon.

I miss the rhodys.  They don't take to Tennessee's climate!

It was terribly cold this morning wasn't it!  Beautiful pink rhododendron, I saw several starting to bloom at Pt Defiance the other day. :-)

Keep warm!

Have I mentioned I'm in love with your cat?  The flowers are beautiful and you should be proud of them.

Beautiful pictures Linda.  That rhododendron is breathtakingly beautiful to say the least.  Rhodendrons line the long drive from the gate to the Estate I live on all the way down almost to our cottage. It's so very beautiful in the springtime.  You cannot imagine!
Thanks so much for sharing all your garden pics.  They made me smile!

I love the rhododendron!  Everything is taking off here in Texas.  I noticed that buttercups are all along the sides of the road.  My mom called them prairie roses since the come up wild each year.
