Mt St Helen's is particularly pretty today. The skies are somewhat clear and there's lots of snow and yes the mountain is throwing off steam. Will it blow again someday?
it is beautiful!! I'm thinking it probably will blow again; it was one of two times the schools closed in the city I lived in Montana in a 20-year span; because of the ash in the air that blew that way (and the other time was when they got 3-4 feet of snow in a 24-hour period of time)
I was living in southern Alberta the last time it blew. Our home was covered in ash and we felt the earth shake. Scary times!! Marie http://ayearatoakcottage.blogspot.com/
I just went over to the page but it's in darkness,I guess it would be as it's 1.30am over there! Lol! I'll come back later to see it. I hope it doesn't blow any time soon. Jeannette xx
I hope it doesn't blow anytime soon for the sake of those living near. It is fascinating to watch them erupt though (only in documentaries of course!). I guess it's just like living next to two nuke plants, you just don't dwell on it. Lisa

Yes, it is beautiful! I guess all volcanoes will blow again one day, some are long overdue.

I hope not. I've seen the wrath of that mountain and I don't think I'd like to see it again.

I visited Mt. St. Helens when i was in Oregon, it was magnificant to see, but such devestation would not like to see it blow again.
