Honor Guard Salute at "Wings of Freedom Tour 2008"
We were warned that the firing of the guns would be loud...I tried to prepare myself so I wouldn't jiggle the camera when the first volley was fired...but it didn't work. You can see the camera jump just a little.

Nice, Linda, and it didn't jiggle that much. D
I enjoyed looking at all the pictures, thank you for sharing. A sad week for us over here, we have lost ten troops in Afghanistan, all blown up (not at the same time) and one a young woman who was an only child.

Interesting video Linda. As Jeannette was saying we have lost a lot of our troops in Afghanistan these past 10 days or so. Very sad indeed. My baby boy (19) has just been accepted to go into the Canadian Airforce, which is very scary for a mom. I hope and pray that he will stay safe.

This was the hardest thing to get signed up with. My name is Jessica and my mother is the coodinator to bring The Collings Foundation to Tacoma Narrows Airport. I saw your pictures and as a matter of fact my son is in one of your pictures. I would like to invite you to see my pictures on my page on my space. Also, I would like to thank you for saying nice things about the planes and the experience. It's definitly not anything I will ever take for granted. The flight brew work very hard at trying to keep the planes running and looking good for the veterans and their families. The last plane to come in was late due to engine trouble. The crew does not like to take any chances on flying planes anywhere if they are not 100%. Esspecially when they have precious cargo like my mother and fellow crew members. LOL! The planes are in Seattle but still having a problem with the same plane that was late. I appreciate everyone's patience and appreciation of such an important time in history. God Bless.
That is a neat ceremony - I think you did a great job...I only noticed a little jump with the first shots. Taps is sooooooooo sad to hear.
