Happy Mother's day to all the moms, step mom's, foster mom's, grandmother's, aunt's, sister's who have raised kids that need a home and also the dad's who have had to become both dad and mom to their kids.
Everything Mom
How did you find the energy, Mom
To do all the things you did,
To be teacher, nurse and counselor
To me, when I was a kid.
How did you do it all, Mom,
How did you do it all, Mom,
Be a chauffeur, cook and friend,
Yet find time to be a playmate,
I just can’t comprehend.
I can see now it was love, Mom
That made you come whenever I'd call,
Your inexhaustible love, Mom
And I thank you for it all.

This is me and my mom in July of 1942. She was such a dear. I don't ever remember her saying a bad word about anyone, I don't remember her ever yelling & screaming at my brother & myself. She was a true example of a loving wife and mother. She passed away October 8, 1987 at the age of 72 and I still think of her and miss her everyday.
