Going Back in Time

Actually I'm just going back in time to April (2005).  The state flower for Washington State is the Western Rhododendron.  Now these are not growing in the wild, they are  actually at the entrance to the mobile park where I live. You can see how big they have grown and the vibrant rose color was breathtaking.  To get an idea of their size, that's my Toyota Rav4 parked in front of  one of the larger ones.  Of course since this picture was taken the beautiful blooms have faded and the rhody's are just big green shrub like trees.

They are beautiful flowers Linda, and very big too.  We get rhododenrens in gardens and growing wild, especially in the countryside where they look amazing!  :-)
