Horrible Day At The Tacoma Mall

Right now as I write this entry, the Tacoma (WA) Mall is closed and being evacuated.  Apparently,  gun fire rang out in the mall earlier today, 6 people have been transported to area hospitals with gun shot injuries.  One critically injured is at Tacoma General Hospital per their media person. The suspect is apparently holed up in one of the stores inside the mall and a police SWAT team is headed into that area.  What an awful thing to happen.  My thoughts and prayers are with those who were there when this happened and to those who have been injured.  Concern also for those law enforcement officers who have to go in and try and get to this person before anyone else is injured.   I heard one lady interviewed on the radio say that she was just outside the Penney's store with her three little girls when the shots rang out.  She grabbed her three girls and headed for an exit.  When she got to her car, she said these 2 lady's came along, crying and asked if they could get in her car because their car was on the other side of the parking lot and they were afraid to go in that direction.  Another witness said that some people were actually running into the mall thinking that the shots were out in one of the parking lots.  They are saying now that there are still people (shoppers and employees) trapped inside the mall and families and friends are gathering on the sidewalks across the street from the mall waiting for word on their loved ones.

            WHAT A NIGHTMARE !!!!

That's terrible, I do hope the SWAT team resolve it without any further injuries. What possesses these people to do such things? It must have been busy too, so near to Christmas and Thanksgiving. Jeannette. http://journals.aol.co.uk/jlocorriere05/Welcometomytravels
