I've Been to the Snow !!

My friend Bob decided to go up to Snoqualmie Summit Ski resort  today to check on his season skiing pass and asked me if I'd like to ride along.  They gave him a free one for the 2005-2006 season because of the lack of snow last year.  (Very good P.R. on management's part) We decided to take my car because it has 4 wheel drive and we wanted to be prepared for snow.  Well...we got it.  It was really coming down.  And so beautiful...as we neared the summit, the trees were just lightly dusted with snow.  Then when we got to the ski resort there was a lot more snow and it was really coming down.  The resort isn't officially open yet but the lower slopes were filled with people of all sizes on sleds, tubes and snowboards.  They were having a ball...playing in winter's first snow.  We encountered heavy snow for about four miles coming back down the mountain and then it gradually turned into heavy rain.  We stopped out the Factory Outlet stores in North Bend (oh how I love the Corning store and the Paper Outlet) and then headed back to my place.  I'm hoping since I have been to the snow...it will stay in the mountains and not come to me.  I don't like driving to work in it..too many hills in this town.   Until next time.....Linda

Wow, that is a lot of snow already for so early in the season! I don't think we, in Montana, have had much snow at the ski resort closest to where I live. It usually tries to open up around Thanksgiving time. Great pictures!
