Thursday evening...I've been to the grocery store

Well, I stopped at the grocery store today on the way home from work.  I'm off now until Monday, so will have time to make the fruit cake.  I actually found a package of Dole chopped dates (great !! I won't have to cut them up) and of course the golden raisins were no problem and then I found a 2 pound container of "Fruit Cake Mix"...it's got orange and lemon peel, candied cheeries and pineaple (there's some green chunks in there so that must be the candied green pineapple).  Anyway I think I got all the stuff to make mom's fruit cake.  So to all my journal buddies in the UK, especially ...look in your grocery stores, where they have the flour, sugar, etc and I bet you'll find the fruit cake mix too.  And Jae....I found all this stuff at Fred Meyer, in case you decide to try it .  I'm going to get off here now and clean up the dishes.  Until next time...Linda
