Gas Station Shock !

Wow...I stopped and got gas on the way home from work today.  It has really jumped up in price since I filled up last time.  Today it was $2.40 a gallon for regular unleaded.  Cost me almost $28.00 to fill the tank.  I'm glad I don't do a lot of driving...just to work and back and sometimes run a few errands close to home on my days off and then church on Sundays.  I actually stop at the store sometimes on the way home from work, so I don't have to make an extra trip out.  I feel sorry for these people that have long commutes to work...I'm sure there will be a rise in van pools and bus riders if the prices keep rising.  Unfortunately, from where I live it would take me about an hour & a half to get to work, 9 miles from my house, if I rode the bus.  If it would pick me up at my house & take me right to the office door...I'd ride it in a heartbeat. But, I think I figured out one time, I'd have to transfer 3 times, with about a 4 block walk just to get to the 1st bus.  (It was easier to get to Seattle on Saturday.)  Anyway..we can only hope that the prices level out soon or no one will be able to afford to take any road trips this summer.

It was sunny and 55 degrees for the first day of Spring here in my area...but guess what?  The weather guy said there's a storm out in the Pacific Ocean heading our way...rain, rain & wind, wind.     Like the song say's "March went out like a lion, a whipping up the water in the Bay, April cried and stepped aside and along came pretty little May."  So I guess this is the way it will be until May.....until next time,  Linda
