Last Day of Winter - Ya Right !?!

I have to admit, the last day of winter finds a lot of sunshine here in my area but it's still cold (34 degrees) out there this morning.  I think the last day/first day thing are merely dates on the calendar to keep us from going crazy when the weather is getting to us.  With the first day of spring, the weather from now until the first day of summer should  typically should be 50- 60 degrees, with sun and occasional rain showers. No more snow, hail and temperatures under 50 degrees.  We all know that won't happen, unless you live in the southern U.S., Mexico, South America...will you know what I mean.

Since it's Sunday I wanted to share these Christian One-Liners I received in an email from a former co-worker, Debra.  Enjoy and have a good last day of winter (LOL).

1.."Don't let your worries get the best of you, remember, Moses started out as a basket case."

2..It is easier to preach ten sermons than it is to live one.

3..The good Lord didn't create anything without a purpose, but mosquitoes come close.

4..Opportunity may knock once, but temptation bangs on your front door forever.

5..When you get to your wit's end, you'll find God lives there.

 6..Peace starts with a smile.

7..Coincidence is when God chooses to remain anonymous.

8..God doesn't call the qualified, He qualifies the called.

9..He, who angers you, controls you.

10..God promises a safe landing, not a calm passage.

11..We don't change the message, the message changes us.

12..You can tell how big a person is by what it takes to discourage him.

"Father, bless the person reading this in whatever it is that You know they need."

Hi Linda:

I read your entry in my jounal, thank you for coming.  I too find great comfort when I spend time with the Lord, singing his praises and reading his word.   I work in a hospital where I come into contact with a lot of people everyday.  It wasn't until after my divorce that I realized how many women are actually single at our age.  Some are even older and have raised their kids and then find themselves completely alone to face the world.
My heart goes out to any woman who's husband reaches middle age and decides to find a younger, prettier woman or who simply just wants a taste of the good life.
We live in a very selfish world.  Just like God said it would be in the end times.
The only thing I know to do is to keep praying and reminding the Lord of his promises to give us that adundant life.  Having a partner would be a wonderful thing if I could find one who was loving and caring and sweet, who loves the Lord like I do.  I'm not convinced he is out there but I do know that if God be for me, who can be against me?
I will pray for you and you pray for me and we will see the glory of the Lord fullfilled.  Amen.
