Ezra Meeker Day Festival in Puyallup

This weekend is the annual Ezra Meeker Festival in Puyallup, WA.  Blocks and blocks of the city are set aside, for food booths, crafters booths, the farmers market and fun things for the kiddies to do.  You can buy almost any craft item you can think of and some you would never in a million years think of.  Tonight the Ventures will perform live on the stage set up in the middle of all the activity and Sunday afternoon the Wailers will perform.  Both are local groups that made rock and roll history back in the late 1950's and early 1960's.   It was a fun day, walking around, checking everything out but I can tell I'm getting old....my feet are killing me.

The weather man talked about rain today but it hasn't happened yet.  I'm glad for those who are down there selling their wares.  It would be miserable in the rain.

Well, I'm going to go put my feet up and relax.  Until next time.....Linda

I love going to festivals. It is always so much fun talking to new people, checking out new things, and always coming home with something I didn't expect to buy. lol
But like you, when we attend any, I can tell I am not as young as I once was; especially when it comes to walking a lot.

What a lovely day out .I really like the sound of all the crafters booths, even if you dont buy they are a source of ideas,I can relate to your poor feet , walking about in the heat ,takes its toll and its amazing how far you walk at these things ..........Jan xx

It looks like everyone had a great day, so glad the rain held off too! I understand the aching feet bit too well! I think those people who did the Oregon Trail back in the old days were so brave with no roads, no food till they caught something and none of our comforts. Jeannette xx

Sounds like you had a good time! I love things like that, but don't get to go any more due to not being able to walk...if I had a wheel chair carrier on my car...I could go to some things, but lots are still not accessible to me.
You get some rest dear, did you buy anything?
