SUMMER"S HERE !!

The first day of summer in the beautiful Pacific Northwest was, well ah....beautiful.  The temperature was at about 74 degrees, with a gentle breeze.  The weather guy on TV says this coming weekend will get up into the low 80's....we'll see.   I spent about 45 minutes outside this evening, watering everybody...the hanging baskets really dry out quickly when the wind is blowing, even slightly.    Anyway, today is the longest day of the year and now they will start to get shorter.  Is winter just around the corner ?  No...we'll have our usual weeks and weeks of hot dry weather before Old Man Winter makes his appearance again.  It's 8:50pm right now and it's still very light out here.

Before I close I wanted to share a cute joke on the;  posts@cybersaltlists.org    website today.  It goes like this- A woman goes to the doctor for her yearly physical.  The nurse starts with certain basic items.  "How much do you weigh?" she asks.   "120 pounds" says the woman.  The nurse puts her on the scale and it turns out she actually weighs 150 pounds.  Then the nurse asks "what's your height?"   "5 feet 8 inches" she answers.  But the nurse measures her and she's really 5 feet 5 inches.   She then takes the woman's blood pressure and tells the woman is is very high.   "Of course it's high" she screams..."when I came in here, I was tall and slender and now I'm short and fat!"

That's all for now....it's getting to be that time, you know, where I head down the hall with my book and my kitty.   Until next time.........Linda

P.S.  I got my Passport in the mail today, now I can go somewhere.  Any suggestions ????????

If I had a passport I would hope on a jet to England or Ireland then Europe.  I am half Irish.  Happy First Day of Summer.  We had a thunderstorm so it got dark early but we needed the drink of water desperately. Hope you're enjoying your book. Have a wonderful (not too hot) summer.

I noticed how light it still is after 9 p.m. earlier this week.  Different.

BTW, a while back you commented about how fun Jeeps are...righto!!!  We're having so much fun with ours!!!

As for a passport destination...I say anywhere your heart desires!  Do you have a place you dreamed of visiting as a child?
