SPACE SHUTTLE "DISCOVERY"

Well it be a "go" this time ?  Right now Discovery is scheduled to lift off at approximately 11:38am Pacific Daylight Time.  This will be the first ever Independence Day launch, if it indeed get's the ok to blast off.  Best wishes to the crew...we're pulling for you !    Linda

Linda I do hope and pray all will go well for the crew ~ was a bit worried about the crack they found ~ but they wouldn't let it go if all was not OK ~ Ally

They blasted off successfully at 1438 EDT, Linda (see http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/5146866.stm). I hope they make a safe return.

I do love to see the space shuttles go, I saw one on the launch pad in Florida, it was due to go the day I came home. Hope your day's going well! Jeannette xx
