Out to dinner with the world traveler

Bob came by this afternoon and we headed out to the other end of town to Steamers for some dinner.  I was glad I had grabbed my camera, it was beautiful down there on the water front (as usual). Beautiful but cold, I might add.  I don't think the temperature got over 50 degrees today.

Bob has lots of pictures from Holland, Germany and Belgium. Hopefully since he doesn't have a journal....he'll let me do some entries for him and post some of his pictures.  They had a wonderful time and he has lots of stories to tell.  He said driving on the Autobon was certainly an experience he'll never forget.  Of all the driving he did, he said the traffic and drivers in Amsterdam was definitely the craziest. They were also impressed with the train service over there.   Anyway more on all that later....

It's Sunday night, it's back to work in the morning and I still have ironing to do, so until next time.........Linda

Linda, that red tree is gorgeous and I love the rain clouds coming in. Oh that would be wonderful if Bob would let you borrow his pictures. I've never been to Europe and would love to look at them when and if he'll share.
Take care, Chrissie

I'm glad you had a good time catching up with Bob. The autobahns are crazy places with no speed limit. I don't like it at all! I remember a Dutch person telling me they call people who drive the wrong way up the autobahn Ghost Riders, she asked what we called them, I told her I was far too ladylike to tell her! Lol! The trains in Europe are very good and have frequent services all over. Love your photos! Jeannette xx

Funny, I was just telling Sonny that we haven't been to Steamers in a while.  Time to go back ... but, darn it's cold in the dining room when it's cold outside!  Maybe I will just wear a warm sweater.

The trains are something else in Europe and the Autoban ... it's something you NEVER forget!  Oh for traffic, in Paris I thought I was a walking target for drivers - scary!
