Photo Challenge #92

Photo Scavenger Hunt #92  from Val (for Krissy) at;  http://journals.aol.com/valphish/ThereisaSeason/entries/2006/10/10/photo-scavenger-hunt-92.../1824 will be due on Sunday. October 15, at 11:00 PM EST.

The subject this week is:
  "Trees, leaves, and anything

changing!"

My entry contains pictures I took today in my own yard.  The colors really are beautiful on the deciduous trees.  But western Washington, especially, is blessed to have lots and lots of evergreen trees that have needles rather than leaves.  In my own yard I have a huge cedar tree in the front and several Douglas Fir in the back.   They are green all year long.  Incidentally Washington is called "The Evergreen State."   I'm not sure if that's in reference to our thousands of acres of fir type trees or because of our rainfall. Which, by the way, is less than the state of Florida.   (I read that in the paper the other day)

That is some vibrant color you have in your yard.  My trees are just now starting to change.  Actually, my pear trees are the last ones in the neighborhood to change normally.  I'm not sure why, next door, their pear tree is already bare.
