UPDATE ON DAVID

I talked with his mother on my way home from work (yes, I'm one of those...who occasionally talks on her cell phone while driving.  But not on the freeway at 70 miles per hour).  She told me she sent out an email today so I'm going to paste part of her email into this entry so it will be straight from David's mom.

"David was very lucky to only have the tumor removed which was a little larger than they first thought, but they DID NOT have to attach the ostomy bag, they were able to  re-attach the colon together.  His liver has involvement in both lobes, and they will be doing further studies in that area. The doctor said Chemo is the best option. We will be waiting for further talks with the oncologist, which he will see after recovery from this surgery.  Pease keep him in your prayers, as he has a long haul in front of him."

She told me on the phone that David has a good outlook, and has the "just take it one day at a time attitude."

Thank you again, for remembering David, his wife, children and extended family as they travel thru this rough territory.

It was another beautiful sunny day here in the Pacific Northwest.....cool last night but very pleasant today.  And I still haven't had to take my coat out of the closet.  Of course there's a good heater in my Toyota if I need heat in the morning on the way to work.

Until next time     Linda

Well, that sounds pretty good.  Hopefully the chemo will do the trick. I wish it would cool off here.
