MONDAY EVENING

My gosh here it is after 6pm and it's still light outside.  That must mean Spring (and then Summer) is just around the corner. And we all know Daylight Savings Time begins this coming weekend. So that means if Daylight Savings Time were in effect today, it would be just a little after 7pm and still light.   Because it's "Spring Ahead and Fall Back." Right ????

I left the house about 1pm to run some errands and until I was half way to the mall didn't realize how warm it was. I had a t-shirt on under a sweat shirt and my summer weight jacket on top of that.  Man...it was terrible. It would have killed an ordinary woman.   I guess I was thinking 32 degrees instead of almost 60 degrees.  I got to Wal Mart and it was so warm in there, I finally shed the jacket.  I got the cutest summer shoes at Wal Mart today.  They were just under $15 and come in several colors.  They are from "Earth Spirit."  I have weird feet and have a horrible time getting shoes that feel ok. If I had a dollar for every pair of shoes I've bought and taken back over the years, I'd be a very rich woman.  I've never been able to wear athletic (tennis) shoes because of a very high instep.  I'd like to go to one of those places where they custom make athletic shoe just for you.  But, I'm sure they are very expensive.  I have a friend who goes to Japan to visit relatives every year and she has her athletic shoes made there.  But, I'm not taking a trip to Japan just to get custom made shoes.  When I got home from shopping I opened the front door and let Gabi sit and gaze outside. She likes to "sun" herself too and since the front door is on the west side of my house, she is happy to sit there on the entry way rug and catch some rays.

I hope everyone has had a good Monday and that the rest of your week will go well, too.   Until next time.......Linda

P.S.   I started this entry about 6pm but got interrupted...it is now 6:42pm and darkness has settled in.

Those are very cute!  Yes, how weird is the weather?  A foot of snow less than a week ago, and spring weather, now!  I wore a light knit shirt under a blouse and was hot at the doctor's office.  Jae

It was very nice here in San Diego today, about 80 degrees I think.  And all of a sudden I am feeling a little overwhelmed by all the yard work that needs to be done.  The rain really made the weeds grow!  Cute shoes.

The days are definitely getting longer and will be even more so after this weekend when the clocks move forward.  I find that as I get older I have a harder time adjusting my internal clocl to the time change than I did when I was younger.  Old dogs you know...you just can't teach them new tricks.  lol

Yes it was a beautiful day, and it was even warm when I left work at 10:15.  So nice, I was thinking about those really cold nights about a month ago, this is much better.  Better for the homeless people who partly live in our store also.  I have a daffodil blooming tonight.  That really means spring.  I love Wal-Mart too and also have a hard time getting shoes, I will check those out.  Good night, Joni
