He Had A Good Weekend

Jim and his friend Carrie finally had a weekend off together and got to go on a river rafting trip on the Tieton River in Eastern Washington.  He said they both had a great time.  I don't know if Carrie has done this before but I think this is Jim's third time down a river.  Carrie is the second one back from the front and Jim is in the very back right hand corner next to the guide (he's wearing sun glasses.) It looks like fun, but I don't think I'll be trying it anytime soon.  My big river thrill, has been several jet boat rides up the Rogue River from Gold Beach, Oregon.  I'd do that again in a heartbeat!

It continues to rain off and on here today.  At least everything is getting a good drenching.  We could still have warm weather into October, so this will help keep the grass on plants growing.

I got a call from my friend Ruth this morning.  Her adult son, David, went thru treatment for colon cancer last year and now they have found nodules on his liver.   He was able to go thru the last treatment phase, missing very little work.  Now, he'll have to go thru testing and no doubt treatment again.  Please remember David and his family in your prayers.

Until next time.....Linda

Remembering David and his family in my prayers.  Your son and his friend are very brave.  I have always wanted to do that myself, but am now probably too old.  Nevermind, I can enjoy looking at the pictures and dreaming.  Fantastic pictures by the way!

Hi Linda! Long time no talk. I 'm SO sorry I've not been by lately. I've not been in a real journaling mode and I'm in the midst of 4 baby afghans I have to make by the end the fall. I'll have to read some of your entries and catch up.  The river rafting looks like great fun to me...But I'm too old for that. And Chicken. Ive really always wanted to try  it   Sorry about about  your friend's son I will hold them in my prayers.
You take care of yourself. Ihave missed keeping up with you.
Hugs Barb
