HORRIBLE NEIGHBORS !

How do you deal with them ??  There's some people who's back yard borders my back yard that are horrible as far as noise.  There's a tall fence that separates the two yards but that doesn't stop the boom boom boom of their very loud music that played all day yesterday until about 11pm and is once again playing today. It started about 8 o'clock this morning and will no doubt go on until late tonight again.  We have all filed numerous complaints with the police about them, they've had visits from the police and it does no good.  Today..I feel like I need to go...escape my house to get away from this incessant noise.   Even Gabi, has her ears laid back...it's bothering her, too.   I wanted to work in my back yard today, prune my lilac tree and other shrubs back there and I'm afraid if I do...I'll have a nervous breakdown.

To top it off, their back yard is filled with campers, motor homes, vans, even an old school bus with people living in them.  You'd think under those circumstances, they'd play it cool and keep the noise down, not attracting attention to themselves.  I don't think the local Health Department would approve of the "camp" they've set up there.  I'm not sure if the house is rented or they own it.  But I'll tell you if I was the owner and they were my renters....I'd be furious !!!

Well, I have something's to mail, so I guess I'll escape over to the post office to give me nerves a break.   So until later....boom, booom bye....Linda

Do you guys lease space from the mobile park? When I was in one, they would kick anyone out who did not follow the rules. That's too bad, it's awful to have neighbors like that. Maybe you should call the health department yourself! Do they blast their music just on weekends - or every day?

How awful for you Linda, neighbours like those you could do without.  Surely the police can do something after receiving so many complaints about them. I would keep on complaining until something is done to shut them up.

Love Sandra xxxx

If the police won't do anything about the noise, call the town/city and have them look into the little camp ground they have going.  That cannot be legal.
Good luck

Yeah, can't the people that run the park do something.  That's terrible, I would keep complaining to everyone.  See you tomorrow, Joni

I am so lucky to live where I do.  I only have two neighbours, the estate manager and the big house.  They are no problem at all, although the sports club down at the bottom of the hill can get quite noisy on a friday and saturday night.  Thank goodness for ear plugs!

Keep complaining & complaining about it.  They sound trashy so I doubt speaking to them will help?  If all else fails cut the electric line to their house.....isn't it terrible how someone can ruin the feeling of "home".  Hope it gets better for you friend.

You can call the city or county (depending on where you live) Code Enforcement office and file a complaint about the motor homes, vans and school bus situation.  They may get sited and fined.  You could also try the fire dept.  It could be a fire danger having all of those vehicles on the property.  If it were me, I would make it as uncomfortable for them as they were making it for me.  Don't let up and get your neighbors involved if possible.  There is power in numbers and the more people that call and complain, the more likely it is you will get results.

Until you get relief, ask your neighbors to pitch in and buy some large speakers and a boom box.  Pick up some Polka music at WalMart and blast it in their direction day and night until they complain and then make a deal.  You'll turn your music off if they do the same.  LOL  It just might work.
Hugs, Kathy

Oh my!  I feel sorry for you!  Thats one reason I love living in the country..so quiet ALL the time.  Just birds and crickets is all we here usually.  sometimes the MOOO of a cow next door but at least that is a comforting noise.  Keep complaining!  Maybe it will work soon enough!

I'm having some neighbor issues right now, too.   Not only are they loud, but they are taunting my dogs to bark, knowing I am telling them to stop barking.  They know the names of the dogs, because I say their names when I am telling them to stop barking.  I was out on my patio organizing the shelves in the small storage space, and I heard them whispering "Dozer, Dozer".  I stopped what I was doing, and wairted to see how long they were going to call his name.  When Dozer didn't respond to their "calls", one of the jerks leaned over and peaked onto my patio. They didn't see Dozer, they saw me, standing there with my arms crossed.  Neither of us said a word...but I sure laughed at the look on his face when he saw me!  LOL!
I am just waitng for them to complain to the manager that my dogs are barking all the time.  She will get an earful from me, that's for sure...
good luck getting some peace and quiet.  I can't believe the police coming over hasn't gotten through to them!  J
