She never ceases to amaze me....

I’m speaking of course about Miss Gabi.  Every night when I am getting ready for bed…she comes into my room and jumps up on my bed and curls up on the blanket I have for her across the end of the bed.  Sometimes, after I get settled in, she’ll move up next to me and lay her head on my arm while I’m reading.  Other times, she just stays there on her blanket.   And that’s usually where I find her in the morning, too.  Although by morning, she’s normally awake and sitting there patiently waiting for me to wake up, then get up and give her the moist food.  Days like today…when I sleep a little later than she thinks I should, she comes up and paws gently at my shoulder, making her little squeaking noises. (Unless totally stressed, she never meows like a regular cat)

I’ve had lots of very sweet cats in my life….but this one takes the cake !!   And to think someone abandoned her….I can’t imagine.

My most favorite cat was a stray. She found me. Baby was a black cat and I loved that girl to death. She followed me everywhere. Sat with me while I was pregnant and miserable. When the kids were little she followed me everywhere I went  taking care of the kids. She slept in the bed with me too. I'd be sitting here in the living room with my husband and would tell him I'm going to bed now I'm tired and Baby would jump up and follow right along behind me. She went to bed too.
Take care, Chrissie

Beautiful thoughts about a lovely cat.  I wish we could have a cat, but I'm afraid our dog would eat it.

Awww.  I am not normally a cat person but I have to say I have grown very fond of Gabi and love hearing stories about her.  If I wasn't allergic she would be a cat I would love!  What a sweet baby you have!

Beautiful! Tell Gabi that the girls think she's the cat's meow...woof woof!
Hard to think of all the wonderful pets that people abandon every day! Breaks my heart. :'(
Hugs,

I cannot understand why anyone would abandon any creature, but there's some sick people out there.

I think the best thing that ever happened to Gabi was her being abandoned...for she found you!  She is a doll and I wouldn't think she is the least bit spoiled now...is she?  ;)

You and Gabi are lucky to have  found each other. You probably have read that I'm not a cat person. Well, Tommy and the girls have adopted a young stray. They feed and water her. I don't know where she stays at night but the minute we come out of the house she comes running. I told Tom he should take her to the vet and get her fixed and make sure she is healthy. So I guess I am a partial cat owner. I'd let her in the house (if she's healthy) but I have 2 dogs. Jake's favorite things is to chase the strays out of the yard. I don't know if they could ever get along.
Have a good rest of your week. Give Gabi a pet for me.
Hugs, Barb

You and Gabi sound perfect for each other Linda! She's probably thankful she was abandoned so your paths would cross! Jeannette xx
