A Baby Girl

I got another call from Judy today.  She got a call from the hospital at 4:30 this morning that things were going bad for her daughter and the baby.      "K" was in horrible pain.  They rushed to the hospital and at 6:26am a baby girl was delivered by emergency C-Section.  She weighs 2 pounds 1 ounce and is 14 inches long.

So far she's breathing on her own and of course is in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.  "K" was going into the condition of pre-eclampsia, which is very dangerous for both mother and baby.  "K" and her husband have several names for her but haven't decided on one name as yet.  "K" is still sleeping off the effects of the drugs she was given, so as of a couple hours ago she hadn't even seen her baby yet.

Please continue to pray that both this little tiny girl and her mama will eventually be released from the hospital happy and in good health.

I will keep them in my prayers. Are they are TG? Their neo-natal unit is one of the best!

Congratulations to K and family, and sentiments echoed for a happy homecoming.

By the way, trick or treat :-)

Linda of course I'll add my prayers to the others, I hope all goes well now that the little girl is born.
Can I just let you know that nearly nine years ago my daughter gave birth to twins, Grace weighed 3 lbs 10 ozs and George weighed 1 lb 9 ozs.  After many worrying weeks they both finally went home and, although George will be on medication for the rest of his life, they are both doing well.  This week they have been staying with me while their mum and dad have been to New York, we've spent some lovely quality time together and George said he was sad tonight because he's had a lovely time with us and he'll miss us when he goes home tomorrow, bless him!
Please keep us updated on the baby and 'K'.

I hope K and her little girl will be all right. With pre-eclampsia it's best that she's been delivered, it's great to hear she's breathing on her own too. Keep us up to date on her progress! Jeannette xx  http://journals.aol.co.uk/jlocorriere05/Welcometomytravels
