Gabi Taking A Bath~Old Video

Gabi Taking A Bath

After posting those two storm videos yesterday, I was looking back thru other videos I have made and found this one.  Originally posted in June....I decided to bore you all with a video of my girl.  Remember.... to watch the video, just click on the picture and it will start. I don't think there's any sound to this one, like there is with the storm videos of yesterday.

Speaking of yesterday, the wind calmed down for a couple hours yesterday evening but then I heard it and the rain from time to time during the night.  Right now the sun is shining brightly and there's just a gentle breeze blowing.   I haven't been outside yet, to see if everything is still where it belongs. I hear my neighbor, Mr Newton, out there with his leaf blower.  The Mayflower truck is out there..... packing up their house. It was a sad sight to see when I opened up the mini blinds this morning. In just a few more days they'll be on their way to Missouri.

I feel bad about missing Homecoming this morning but couldn't go and risk passing germs or picking up others. I'm sure I'll get a couple phone calls later telling me all about it.   Until next time,  Linda

P.S. It's hard to tell in this video exactly how big Gabi is...she's actually very small, weighing only 4 pounds 8 ounces. She's got big feet, so I'm thinking if she had led a normal life, all of her approximately 4 years, she may have weighed more. They figured she was lost on the streets of Seattle for several months before being rescued in August of 2005. Of course she was severely mal-nourished, among other things.

What a cute girl!  I left a comment on the video too lol.  Is this a Persian or something different?  I just love her and I want one!  lol  I like the shorter hair then the reg Persian.  Does she mat easy?  What is the cost of a cat like this?  I've had Persians before but none with the shorter hair.  I love it!

Gabi is beautiful, as well as a compulsive bather!  She must really keep herself clean.
By the way, if you want to get the Ginger Beer, you can find it at Target.  The brand is Archer Farms.
Thanks for visiting my journal.

My Felix and Mergatroid had the same coloring.  They were litter-mates and had each other to play with. We lost Mergatroid to some sudden illness ten years ago, the same weekend my niece Gaby was born.  I lost Felix in April of last year, just a few weeks shy of his twenty-second birthday.  I still have a lot of their stuff around.  I always kept a stockpile of their food and toward Felix's last days, he wouldn't or couldn't eat anything, even treats.  I wound up with seventy-five cans of Fancy Feast--I didn't realize I had bought that much).

I took the food to a shelter called "Harmony House for Cats" in Chicago, then I sat for a few hours and played with the residents.

Both of them had the same veterinarian their entire lives, Dr. Wake in Chicago. He saw them through kittenhood and Felix through geriatrics. Maybe I'll post of picture of them on my blog.

Hugs & Kisses,

Deb

She is so cute.....and really working hard on cleaning that one foot too!!  Her little face is just adorable, I wanted to give her a hug.  She does look very petite to me, some of mine are the size of dogs!!  Thanks for sharing, it was not boring in the least, quite charming actually!!!!
