I just heard on the TV news from Seattle, that there's another fire raging in Malibu, California. It started around 3am (Pacific Standard Time) and already over 100 homes have been evacuated. The Santa Ana winds are blowing between 60 & 70 miles per hour which is making it difficult for the local firefighters to knock the fire down.
I know there were several hundred fire fighters that went south from here, last month to help the exhausted local fire fighters. But I'm sure they've come back home by now.
Let's pray that the winds will die down and the rain will move in and get this fire out before it destroys even more of the beautiful southern California coast line.
P.S. just hearing again that over 250 acres and several homes have burned already. The T.V. is showing big tanker planes flying over the area dropping water. I wish you could see these amazing pictures...there's a plane up over the tanker filming. You can see the hundreds of black, burned neighborhoods left behind from the previous fires. The winds are so strong, the fire fighters are actually being held back by the smoke and flames. "Lord help these people."
