Bogus AOL Email~BEWARE !!

It seems everyone in the world is getting this bogus AOL email.  It's not from AOL and whatever you do, DO NOT supply them with the information they are asking for.  Here in the U.S. those emails should be forwarded to; tosreports@aol.com

I actually keep that email address in my Adress Book under; AOL, fraud emails.

The email I got this morning reads;

Dear Valued Member,

We were unable to process your most recent payment. Please verify that your billing information is correct to avoid interruption of your Aol Services.

To ensure that your account is not interrupted, please update your billing information by clicking here:
http://billing.aol.com

If your information on file is not updated within 48 hours, we will temporarily suspend your Aol account.

Thank you,

Michael Baldger
AOL Billing Center

The subject line reads; AOL® Member ( Your Account Suspension Notice )

Our friends across the pond have been getting the same one. So the scammers are after everyone, this holiday season.

Be careful, the bad guys are out to get us.......they will have coal in their stockings again this year.

Thanks for passing this along my friend.  I have also had two that were identical to my bank saying my account had been suspended, I knew those were false.  I had two more one from another Bank and one from a Building Society.  I have never done business with either so deleted them.  However, I do worry that many people will be caught out by these hoaxes.  How these people can sleep at night is beyond me.

This time of the year brings out the worst in some people.  It's a shame we even have to be bothered with this type of thing.

Saw this at Jeannettes and Guido's.  Thanks for the head-up too.
These greedy thieves should go and find a decent days work.  They have the brains for it.
