I love them !

More cards came in today.  It's so fun to go to the mailbox and find something that's not a bill, another application for a credit card or other junk mail.   I even got one today from my dear male cousin who lives across the pond in Maidenhead, Berkshire.  He went there with the U.S. Air Force in the 1960's, got married, had kids and I thought when his wife passed away, he'd come home but he didn't. He's found a new love over there and I guess England has captured him.  But I miss him.  We're just  6 weeks apart in age and were close as kids.

I took a cue from Robin and taped my cards up on the inside of my front door.  I have a red berry wreath hanging on the inside and they look very pretty taped all around it.  Do you see yours?

I broke down and wrapped Bob's gift's today, if he's a bad boy between now & the 25th...they can always be unwrapped and put on eBay.  LOL

I need two more gift bags for his two little grand angels, so I think I'll stop at the Dollar Store Sunday afternoon and see what I can find.  Then I'll be all done. Done for another year !

Now I need to get started on some baking.   My family Christmas dinner is a week from today...the menu is planned and I have some of the stuff already but not all of it, so need to do some grocery shopping during this next week.

Marie, I wish you were here to cook it for me...it would be so much better...you could even bring Todd, too....

I was just on the Journal Chat for awhile but Guido & the rest of them decided they should go to bed since it was after midnight for them.    I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend....and getting those last minute details cleared up, it's not much longer now.

Until next time........Linda

Linda, your cards look lovely on the door. I must have forgotten to put a stamp on mine.
I just went to the chat room and as usual I found nobody there. I even bought a camera when they opened the room and have rarely used it. I would have liked to met Guido.
My daughter in law is getting all of the families on both sides a computer camera for christmas so we should be having fun with that in the future.
Merry Christmas to you and yours and enjoy your Christmas dinnee, Bill

Linda
The door looks great with the wreath and the cards.  Robin won't mind a bit that you took her idea and ran with it.  The dinner you are planning already has my mouth watering and you did not even mention one item you are going to make, LOL.  I guess maybe I'm hungry right now.  Must be the diet!  I sure hope Bob is a good boy between now and Christmas, you sounded serious about unwrapping his gifts if not, LOL.  I want to try the new journals chat room, but I never do very well in a chat room situation.  Too many typos and things go so fast people think I am ignoring them.  Makes me nervous, LOL.  I will propbably try it anyway, it does sound fun.

Your door looks great with the cards & wreath - that is a great idea.  You did get a lot of cards.  Since I've gone the way of E-cards I don't get many in the mailbox anymore but we do get quite a bunch through email.  Seeing your cards makes me sentimental for the "old days" when I would mail & receive cards.  Maybe next year.

Your cards look great there, what a good idea.  Don't remind me how close it's getting we still don't have a tree.  would have today, but my son wanted me to come up to Snohomish and see his baby and bake Christmas cookies with them.  It was fun.  Tomorrow should be the tree day, then wrap and finish my baking.
My son let me know today they'll be over Christmas Day, so I need some more stocking stuffing stuff.  Later, Joni

Linda, I didn't see my card there but it's on it's way!  I can see you still have a little room for more, I sent an 'English' one for you!  Love, Pat    http://journals.aol.co.uk/pm71blackfen/ramblings-from-pat/

Your doorway looks very festive with all your cards there for you to see.
We hang our wreath outside the front  door.  I never thought of having one inside.
They do look lovely.
I like receiving cards each year.  Even if I only hear from folks at Christmas I know they have thought of me as they write.
Hugs and a Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Linda, you should get my card soon.  It's winging it's way across the Atlantic!  I love how you have put them up.  Very attractive!  I got your card the other day!  It was lovely, thanks so much!  One of the very few that we have gotten this year with a religious theme.  I would gladly come and cook for you anytime, just so long as you do the washing up!!!  I hate washing up!
Have a great Sunday!

Some people hang their cards on strings along the walls. Sorry I had to be a party pooper last night, Linda, but it was a bit late. Have a great Sunday
