More on Debbie

Since I wrote the earlier entry about the time with author Debbie Macomber today, I've been thinking on which books of hers I would recommend for the first time reader.  I love her Cedar Cove series because those books include areas I'm familiar with....Seattle, Tacoma, the Narrows Bridge, the towns of Olalla and Bremerton and other nearby places.   But some people don't like series because you have to always wait for that next book.  There are 7 books in the Cedar Cove series at this time, number 8 will be out next summer. I'm waiting.....

But there are two of her books that I can read over and over.  If interested, you should be able to find them on eBay or in a used book store (in the Romance section).  One is "Between Friends" released in 2002 and the other is "Thursdays at Eight."   Both of these are great books and I know you'll love them.

She also has written many books over the years, that were released just before Christmas.  There are some that include three angels, Shirley, Goodness & Mercy....they are fun and quick reading.

If you're a knitter you'll enjoy "The Shop on Blossom Street" and "A Good Yarn."  I'm not a knitter and I loved them both, as well as the companion book "Susannah's  Garden."

Do you love fruitcake or not?  Either way, don't miss reading " There's Something About Christmas."

That's all...I just wanted to share a few titles with you, incase you've decided to giver her books a try. Linda

I shall have to look her books up at the local library.  Some of them sound just like the sort of book I like to read!

Hi Linda, as you know I am an avid reader of Debbie's books.  I love her Cedar Cove books and I have read most of the books you have mentioned in your two entries.  This lady is not only a great author she seems like a great person as well.  I would like to take this opportunity to thank you from the bottom of my heart for one of the most special gifts I have ever received, thank you for Debbie's new Xmas book, "Christmas Wishes and the recpies and map of Cedar Cove.  The fact you had Debbie sign the book for me is something I will never forget, and signed with my sn Trees is even more special.  I thank you from my heart for this beautiful gift which I will always treasure and more important for the friendship you so freely give to me.  Next year I will be coming to Oregon, and hope to visit Seattle.  I spoke to my friend about you and Debbie Macomber and she is going to try and make sure i get to meet you and we go visit Port Orchard as well and go to the Tea Room.  Again my friend, thank you so very much for Debbie's book and your friendship.
