They remembered

There is actually an article in today's paper about Pearl Harbor.  It's the story from a Pearl Harbor survivor , now 87 years old, who lives here in town...recalling that day, that he will never forget.  If you'd like to read his story & updates on our state's storm damage just follow the link; http://www.thenewstribune.com/

I've spent the day sitting in the lobby with my elderly neighbors, as they recounted memorable stories of fear and deering-do.  Amazingly sharp memories for a long-buried horror, those who survived in the Pacific theater found a way to continue on afterwards, and that I think is the more heroic of deeds.  CATHY

I can't seem to get the link to load right now, I will look at it when I come back.  We actually had a nice piece on our news about a survivor who also was at Pearl Harbor, he was adorable ~ I just wanted to hug him.  Very early this morning I saw new footage of the storm ravaged area, horrible...just horrible.
