Finally Open

Interstate 90 is opening for at least a short time.  The snow is coming down so fast, they are expecting there's just a short window of opportunity to move the traffic thru.  The pass has been closed for 28 hours...causing a huge financial impact on commerce in this state and the states beyond.

If you check out web cam #6 you can see the trucks & cars moving thru a thick blanket of falling snow.

Isn't that just crazy!  I bet your glad you don't have to go out in that!  We have so much blowing here that they have closed schools for -50 degree wind chill.  The drifts are just nuts! Some of them reach over 5 feet!    They have not plowed our roads yet on our side road and the only way you can get out is by 4 wheel drive.

I'll have to try that link during daylight hours, LOL.  I'm glad the snow is gone from your area.  I hope the traffic moving through the pass makes it through safely.
