I have actually been to India and oh yes- this is NOT a fake picture. Everyone "steals" electric from the next guy. Not sure if it is really stealing as there may be some arrangment worked out. But the brown outs are legendary, and loved the hotel in New Dehli- had a small refrigerator in it. But since the electric was off all day, (went off automatically when you took the key out of the holder by the door, you had to have the key in the holder to have electric,) every day you come back to a puddle in the room from the refrig defrosting, again.

Oh, I know it's true...I lived in Tokyo for a while and had many people coming over that had been in India...one of the guys had been driving put his arm out to make a turn and his watch was stripped off his arm before he could even move it back in the window..lol. Imagine a storm hitting with all these wires ..ouch....love, Sandi
