It's Worth A Try !

I got this as an email~thought I'd share it.  However I don't personally know if it works.  Maybe some of our JLand friends in mosquito areas can try it out and get back to us.  Linda

 Mosquito Spray...Worth A Try

I was at a deck party awhile back, and the bugs were having a ball biting everyone. A man at the party sprayed the lawn and deck floor with Listerine, and the little demons disappeared. The next year I filled a 4-ounce spray bottle and used it around my seat whenever I saw mosquitoes. And voila! That worked as well. It worked at a picnic where we sprayed the area around the food table, the children's swing area, and the standing water nearby. During the summer, I don't leave home without it.....

OUR FRIEND'S COMMENTS: I tried this on my deck and around all of my doors. It works - in fact, it killed them instantly. I bought my bottle from Target and it cost me $1.89. It really doesn't take much, and it is a big bottle, too; so it is not as expensive to use as the can of Bug-spray you buy that doesn't last 30 minutes. So, try this, please. It will last a couple of days. Don't spray directly on a wood door (like your front door), but spray around the frame. Spray around the window frames, and even inside the dog house.

Now these are Good Mosquitos!!!

I got that email too.  I find that Avon's Skin So Soft works really well for me and it also moisterizes my very dry skin while it's at it.

One of my friends here in Florida told me yesterday after I sent that email to her the Listerine does NOT work.  Said she looked it up on snoopes or one of those websites...it's just a hoax.  Darn!

Thankfully we don't have any of those where we live.  We used to have tons of them back in Canada.  I don't miss them.  It will be interesting to see though if your mosquito ridden friends have any success with this!

I'm going to give this a try, Linda, seems like a better thing to spray than bug spray, healthier for the environment I would think

we have some huge looking mosquitos here and they all seem to group themselves around our doors just waiting for the chance to come in and eat

I might try this Linda, I`m always getting bitten and I have had some very nasty bites in the past. One year my ankles swelled up so much from the bites that I needed treatment from a doctor and I still have scars nearly ten years on.

Love Sandra xxxx

Last year we made a trip up to OR. For the first time in years I was bit! We do not have them down here. Maybe the lack of water and the heat have something to do with it?
